Meditation for Stress – London Courses
Stress builds up. Over time it becomes chronic, wearing you down and making you feel overwhelmed, exhausted and frustrated. My meditation course can help.
I teach Vedic Meditation, which works quickly – most of my students feel calmer and less stressed within days. And you can learn meditation for stress right here in London.
"I had an instant benefit to my energy and ability to concentrate and have since felt more comfortable in my own skin as well as with others."

"Before the course I found it difficult to find a technique that resonates with me. I'd tried focusing on the breath, picturing a flower, candle, and yet they felt like shallow practices, not diving deep enough for my perfectionist needs.
I find this meditation extremely powerful and feel the benefits right away! It's impressive, I'm amazed."

Calm your mind
When your brain is in overdrive and the mental chatter just won’t stop, it's difficult to ever unwind. You don't sleep properly. And you struggle to make decisions at work or even enjoy a holiday.
An over-busy mind is one of the main reasons people join the meditation for stress course.
Vedic Meditation calms your mind to its least excited state. This lets your brain and body release stress and tension. Afterwards, you feel more settled and clear-headed.
And my students report that those benefits last for hours, meaning you’re able to focus on what’s important, whether that’s a crucial presentation at work or down-time with your family.
Achieve more in less time
It's frustrating when your to do list keeps growing, and you never seem to get enough ticked off. Stress saps your energy and makes it harder to concentrate, so you get less done. Then you become even more stressed. It’s a vicious cycle.
Vedic Meditation can give you the energy and focus to tackle the day head-on. During the meditation, you enter a state of deep rest – deeper than sleep. You emerge feeling refreshed and alert.
My students find that they gain clarity, feel sharper and are able to make important decisions confidently. That feeling lasts throughout the day, so they can do more, and do it better.
"I felt very energised after my meditation. It was mid-morning when I meditated, so I had been working beforehand. I had much more focus and energy afterward!
I noticed being more efficient in getting things done. It really surprised me how much!”

An overview of meditation for stress
Why Vedic Meditation relieves your stress
Vedic Meditation isn’t like other types of meditation. It’s easy to learn and you don’t need to silence your thoughts. Most importantly, it gives you deeper rest than sleep.
In this state of deep rest, you release old tensions. You’re able to reset that ‘fight or flight’ button that seems permanently switched on. You feel less stressed, happier, more focused and better able to face challenges when they arise.
Vedic Meditation can bring you relief from chronic stress. My students say that they:

Is stress ever good?
Our stress levels are supposed to rise temporarily in threatening situations, like coming face to face with an angry bear.
In these acute stress situations, our body triggers the 'fight or flight' response. It pumps out chemicals, like cortisol and adrenaline, to help us run fast or put up a fight. Once the danger has passed, our body should rebalance.
Chronic stress is different.
What is chronic stress?
Unlike acute stress, chronic stress doesn’t ease off. Your body keeps producing stress chemicals – and when the perceived threat is an email from an angry client, your body goes into fight-or-flight mode. Symptoms of chronic stress include:
Chronic stress can affect your physical health as well as your mental state. According to the NHS, you might suffer from a range of symptoms, including:
Constant tiredness is another common symptom that many of my students used to experience. Long-term stress can also pose a health risk and has been linked to conditions such as diabetes, strokes and heart attacks.
"I found myself looking forward to my morning meditation because of the immediate increase of energy levels, clarity of mind and focus that I experienced during the day."
